Silver Spring, is the Maryland suburb right outside of Washington D.C. and once considered one of the top most diverse small cities in the nation. Located within Montgomery County, the most populated county in the state, Silver Spring is home to an array of small businesses to power hitting corporations. According to Philly’s City Center District (Click here for full report), D.C. is recognized as one of the top cities for black entrepreneur’s, with an estimated 30% of all businesses in the District being black-owned. With Silver Spring being one of the most desirable suburbs outside of the city, we wanted to explore some of the top black owned consumer facing small businesses you can support right now.
